KELLY OSBOURNE's Latest Due June 7th
KELLY OSBOURNE
04.27.05 (MusicPortal.com) KELLY OSBOURNE is gearing up to release her sophomore effort, entitled "Sleeping In The Nothing," on June 7th via Sanctuary Records. The ten-song album presents an intimate look into the mind of this young scion of music royalty and shows what makes her tick. A departure from her breakthrough debut, 2004's "Changes" (Sanctuary), and produced by Linda Perry (Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani), "Sleeping In The Nothing" includes a number of musical gems co-written by KELLY OSBOURNE herself. Creating a clever hybrid of Electronica melded with just the right touch of attitude, Osbourne establishes a sincere sound that comes together with a sense of confidence on the new release. Complete with intriguing lyrics and a unique sound, "Sleeping In The Nothing" is a well-crafted collection of Pop mementos that still packs one hell of a punch, as well as the vocalist's temperament that we've all come to know and love. Already a seasoned veteran of the music industry, television and good old rabble rousing, Kelly presents a more mature sounding album in "Sleeping In The Nothing." While the first single, 'One Word,' offers up a haunting Pop ballad, Osbourne delves into a variety of topics on the album, taking on date rape with 'Don't Touch Me,' restlessness with 'Suburbia' and the deterioration of society with 'Entropy.' On the other hand, tracks such as 'I Can't Wait' and 'Save Me' show a much softer side of KELLY OSBOURNE. At a time when she could have easily packed it in and given up, she chose music to show the world what she's made of, managing to turn the events of the past few years into fuel for "Sleeping In The Nothing." So forget what you think you know about KELLY OSBOURNE. If you watch her hit MTV reality series "The Osbournes," she says you're just seeing "24/7 of my life edited into twenty minutes." And if you bought her debut album, "Shut Up," you don't know the depth and range of music that this complex girl is capable of making. But if you think that KELLY OSBOURNE is opinionated, not afraid to make a statement and could care less what... [full story]

MORTIIS Set To Get 'Decadent & Desperate'
MORTIIS
04.13.05 (MusicPortal.com) MORTIIS are set to release their new single, 'Decadent & Desperate,' on April 25th. The single, taken from last years critically acclaimed album album "The Grudge," will be released in two 7" Vinyl and one CD Digipack formats, which will contain various exclusive bonus tracks and remixes. The CD version will feature 'Decadent & Desperate' along with a new previously unreleased song entitled 'Underdog' and 'Gibber' (Gibbering Idiot Remix). Each vinyl format will come in different art poster bags. A video for 'Decadent & Desperate' was recently completed in the UK, with film and video director Adam Mason (Million Dead, Sikth, Winnebago Deal), and is based on a dream sequence where MORTIIS becomes a split personality and finds himself in a Victorian nightmare with members of the band, portrayed as his tormentors. Filming took place last month over two nights in sub zero temperatures at a formerly used British RAF base near Cambridge in the UK. The shoot went off without a hitch, apart from the local constabulary dispatching a helicopter and patrol cars to see what all the commotion was about. With their curiosity satisfied the police withdrew, leaving the bemused band and crew to complete the shoot. Meanwhile, work is still continuing on "Soul In A Hole,' an upcoming live DVD which was recorded at the London show on last years "Unlimited Grudge" European tour and is set for release next month. MORTIIS will be supporting the release of 'Decadent & Desperate' with a 12-date headlining tour of the UK with NFD, featuring members of Goth legends FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM, and UK Industrial noisemakers Panic DHH in support. Lastly, MORTIIS' "The Grudge" was selected this week by the Norwegian Culture Council to be made available for listening to the public in all the libraries in Norway for free. The Norwegian Culture Council selects a few recordings each year which best reflect and promote Norwegian Music and Culture, and this year selected "The Grudge," which will begin to appear in all of Norway's public libraries during the coming weeks.

MOTOR To Release Second Single On 4/25
MOTOR
04.08.05 (MusicPortal.com) A new 12" single from MOTOR is slated to be released April 25th via Mute Recordings. MOTOR is comprised of Mr. No and Bryan Black and 'Stuka Stunt'/'Junker' is the pair's second single release. MOTOR makes totally uncompromising music that deliberately breaks any musical restrictions or sound barriers. Electronic music practicing a punk ethnic, the duo are pretty much unlike anything else: abrasive, strangely melodic, pulsing like a machine. A sound, which by no mistake, has put them in a class of their own. Mr. No comes from the industrial wastelands of Paris, and Bryan Black from Minneapolis. Now based in London, the duo formed as MOTOR in 2003, meeting by chance in a smoky Camden underworld. Black was seminal Pop star Prince's sound designer and programmer at Paisley Park Studios in the late 90s before setting off to London to pursue his own musical projects while Mr. No arrived in London in 1989 with a mission to turn drummers into drum machines. With DJ support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Tiga, Felix Da Housecat and Mute's own Daniel Miller for their first 12" release, 'Din 9' was subsequently been re-worked by Arthur Baker and Princess Superstar for her new album on K7! Records. The duo have since gone on to remix the likes of 'Personal Jesus' for MARILYN MANSON, THROBBING GRISTLE's 'Persuasion' and CLIENT's 'Pornography,' featuring Carl Barat from THE LIBERTINES. The hype even hit as far as Japan, where MOTOR were commissioned to remix the theme song for the final Godzilla film, "Final Wars." MOTOR are also known for their work under the alias "XLOVER," who have an album coming up shortly on Hell's esteemed Gigolo Records and their multiple collaborations with Felix Da Housecat, including co-writing tracks off his latest LP "Devin Dazzle & The Neon Fever." Meanwhile, MOTOR's 'Stuka Stunt' is a modern-day war-theme, complete with morse code and side winding jet engines, coming on like the Luftwaffe nose-diving out of your speakers with its "whistling death" bomb sound effects.
